Sound Garden is a boutique festival in Liptov. The first two years took place in the beautiful surroundings of the 400-year-old Handel garden in Partizánská Ľupča. Its third year was held in the garden of the P. M. Bohúň Gallery in Liptovský Mikuláš.
The Sound Garden festival was founded by two friends who, in addition to their jobs, have been involved in music for several years. They were joined by other friends who like music and the festival team was born! The festival is also supposed to fulfill a cultural mission – to bring to Liptov and its visitors the best and highest quality of all genres that can be found in the Slovak alternative scene and the budget allows.
However, it should not be only about the music, although that is the most important. People must also feel good at the Sound Garden festival and they should not miss anything. Therefore, great attention is paid to gastronomy, vendors and other activities for visitors in the festival garden.
In 2019, at the Sound Garden festival, the gallery of Ľudovít Fulla also had its workshop, which playfully based itself on the work of the founder of modern painting and graphics in Slovakia. In 2020, due to the specifics of the new venue in the center of Liptovský Mikuláš, DJs played their sets in Silent Disco mode. All visitors received headphones and could choose between two DJ pairs.
