Bešeňová is a small village located in the center of the tourist-attractive Liptov region, 10 km from the town of Ružomberok and 20 km from the town of Liptovský Mikuláš. It is one kilometer long and stretches along the longest Slovak river Váh.
Bešeňová is known mainly for its geothermal springs with a temperature of almost 70°C and travertine.
The Bešeňová Water Park with year-round operation is located here. Visitors like trips to the nearby valleys – Kvačianska and Prosiecka, or a visit to the archaeological Celtic site – Havránok nature museum, which overlooks Liptovská Mara.
