The first authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Liptov. The philosophy of the Bonsai restaurant is to bring traditional Vietnamese dishes to Liptov in the form in which they have been preserved for several years.
Food plays an important role in Vietnamese culture, recipes are passed down from generation to generation, and therefore much attention is paid to its preparation.
The basis of most Vietnamese dishes is rice or noodles, which are supplemented with fresh herbs, vegetables and various types of spices.
Vietnamese cuisine is often confused with other Asian cuisines, e.g. Chinese or Thai. But there are several differences. One of the biggest is the way of seasoning food. In Vietnamese cuisine, fresh vegetables and herbs are mainly used, which improve the taste. Another difference is in the use of sauces. For Vietnamese cuisine, fish is essential, while in Asian countries they mainly use soy sauce.
