The pleasant quiet mountain environment of the Western Tatras guarantees peace and quiet, and the opportunity to escape from the worries of today’s busy world. Chata pod Náružím in Červenec (1 420 m n. m.) is set in this idyllic environment. The lodge is an excellent starting point for ridge tours if you start at the top of Babky (1 566 m n. m.), continue through Ostrý vrch and Sivý vrch through Brestová, Salatín, Pachoľa, Baníkov with the final one at Kasprovo vrch.
The lodge is open all year round, usually over the weekends and continuously in July and August. It has a capacity of 30 beds (3 rooms with 10 beds each). In an emergency, there is the possibility of accommodation in the attic, which has a capacity of about 20 people. A charge is made for overnight stays. If you are interested in staying overnight at the lodge, you must register with the manager. If they don’t know about you, you might not be accommodated. No pets are allowed at the lodge!
Food is not available at the lodge. However, you can prepare food you bring with you using the cooker in the kitchen. Cooking utensils, plates and mugs are provided, as well as cleaning products.
Chata pod Náružím and the surroundings of Červenc provide many opportunities for organising sports events and races. Indeed, there is a rich tradition here. The most famous are the “Cena Červenca” ski races. Tourists regularly organise climbs to Sivý vrch on the second weekend of March, and climbs to Baníkov that are popular nationwide on the first Saturday in August. The ski club, in cooperation with the municipal authorities, organises a nationwide race under the name “Go as you can”, starting at a quarry 820 m above sea level and finishing at the lodge 1,420 m above sea level. The track length is 3,700 m and the elevation gain 600 m. Climbers have been organising traditional alpine skiing races for several years. Today under the name “Bokami Západných Tatier”, in cooperation with the TJ Roháče Zuberec physical education club and Žiarska dolina alpine skiing club.
