The Útulňa Ramža shelter (1 260 m n. m.) is located in the eastern part of the Low Tatras on the red trail, and is a convenient place to stay overnight for the majority of tourists who reach the main ridge. You can find it squatting in the forest a few metres north of the trail – it offers no views of the surroundings.
From the shelter it is possible to reach the Útulňa Andrejcová shelter or, in the western direction, the M. R. Štefánik pod Ďumbierom and the Kamenná chata pod Chopkom lodges.
The mountain-style shelter is open year-round, and has a capacity of about 20 people. There is one room with two sleeping compartments, shelves for storing backpacks, and a stove. The lower sleeping compartment is L-shaped and the upper is along the back wall. The floor is made of compressed earth.

There is a spring near the shelter (about 100 metres to the west). You will also find an outdoor fireplace, a dry toilet (latrine) and a small rubbish container.
